The
1st International Conference on Research in Artistic Processes and Projectual Methodologies
is envisioned as a space for reflection and exchange dedicated to artistic and design research practices.
Focused in areas such as architecture, visual arts, design, curatorial studies, literature, and sound –
among other forms of expression – the conference affirms the central role of art in knowledge production.
Artistic research is here understood as a process that interweaves thought and action, engaging not only
aesthetics and technique, but also cultural, social, ethical, and existential dimensions.
The
creative act is seen not merely as a form of expression, but as a way of being in the world: a practice
grounded in experience and capable of transforming reality.
This context calls for a
transdisciplinary dialogue on projectual methodologies emerging at the intersection of practice, reflection,
and research. From the poetics of space in architecture to the sensory and discursive power of visual and
sonic arts; from the functionality and form in design to the critical mediation of curatorial practices;
from the imaginative scope of literature to hybrid modes of documentation –each field contributes unique
ways of thinking and making.
The conference aims to gather national and international
researchers, artists, and invited speakers from diverse disciplines to reflect collaboratively on the
challenges and potential of practices that integrate theory and making. Emphasis is placed on
transdisciplinarity and on documentation as an active, structural part of the research process—where
thought, action, and experience are inseparable.
