              1st International Conference on
Artistic Research and
Design Methodologies

From method to matter: unfolding research practices
              The
1st International Conference on Artistic Research and Design Methodologies
is envisioned as a space for critical reflection and transdisciplinary exchange, focusing on research
practices in art and design while extending to disciplines such as architecture; curatorship and
exhibition practices; literature and creative writing, among others.
It addresses broader
contexts, questions, and methodologies with which these practices inevitably intersect and affirms the
central role of art in knowledge production, understanding research as a process that interweaves
thought and action, engaging not only aesthetics and technique but also cultural, social, ethical, and
                existential dimensions.
This context calls for a transdisciplinary dialogue emerging at the
intersection of practice, reflection and research. From the poetics of space in architecture to the
sensory and discursive power of visual and sonic arts; from the functionality and form in design to the
critical mediation of curatorial practices; from the imaginative scope of literature to hybrid modes of
documentation – each field offers distinctive approaches to thought and creative practice.
The
creative act is here seen not merely as a form of expression, but as a way of being in the world: a
practice grounded in experience and capable of transforming reality.
The conference welcomes
researchers, artists, invited speakers, and students, both national and international, who engage with
the proposed thematic areas to reflect collaboratively on the challenges and potential of practices that
integrate reflection and practice. Emphasis is placed here on transdisciplinarity and on documentation
as an active and structural part of the research process, where thought, action, and experience are
                inseparable.

The conference welcomes contributions from various fields,
including (but not limited to):
Art; Architecture; Curatorship and exhibition practices; Design;Audiovisual and Photography; Sound,
                sound art; Transdisciplinary
practices;experimental practices; literature and creative writing;
